Very expected game in Ilhavo where 12th ranked Illiabum (6-16) was defeated by fifth ranked Vitoria SC (14-8) 77-64 on Saturday. American guard Brandon Parrish (198-94, college: TCU) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Malcolm Drumwright (188-95, college: Jacksonville St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Vitoria SC's coach Carlos Fechas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) responded with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Rozelle Nix (211-93, college: S.Alabama) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Vitoria SC and four Illiabum players scored in double figures. Vitoria SC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Oliveirense. Illiabum lost fourth consecutive game.
