Regular Season Round 22: Bakken - Amager 113-91

Rather predictable result in Risskov where first ranked Bakken (19-3) smashed 5th ranked Amager (2-17) 113-91 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Amager turnovers. Strangely Amager outrebounded Bakken 43-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American guard David Efianayi (188-95, college: Gardner-Webb) scored 36 points (!!!), 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American-Guamanian forward Jonathan Galloway (208-96, college: UC Irvine) chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Xavier Williams (208-95, college: Columbus St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2) scored 11 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-3 record. Amager lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 17 games lost. Bakken will face EBAA (#3) in Aarhus in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Amager will play at home against Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
