Regular Season Round 22: Fethiye - Samsun 82-72

TBL top team - Fethiye (18-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Samsun (4-18) 82-72. Fethiye looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) supported him with 23 points and 10 assists. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 19 points by point guard Abdullah Kocal (190-94) did not help to save the game for Samsun. Guard Cagdas Erdogan (188-88) added 13 points and 7 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fethiye have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fethiye maintains first position with 18-4 record. Samsun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Ankara B.. Fethiye will meet Duzce Belediye (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Samsun will play against Ankara B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
