There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Duesseldorf (7-15) defeated at home higher ranked Sixers (11-11) 71-62 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sixers 43-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. Duesseldorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sixers' players. American point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-91, college: NW Missouri St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) fired 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Faton Jetullahi (188-94) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Duesseldorf's coach Kevin Magdowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Anthony Okao (210-98) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American power forward Justin Smith (201-87, college: Hawaii-Hilo) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Duesseldorf moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Iserlohn. Loser Sixers dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost.
