Very important is a road loss of third ranked Marmatiei (3-14) against fourth ranked Miercurea Ciuc (4-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Marmatiei was crushed by Miercurea Ciuc in Miercurea Ciuc 101-59. Miercurea Ciuc had a 38-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Marmatiei's players. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Meshack Lufile (203-92, college: Cape Breton) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Mali-Canadian guard Mambi Diawara (194-94, college: Calgary) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Miercurea Ciuc players scored in double figures. American forward James Harrison (203-96, college: ETSU) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Corey Henderson (193-95, college: Tulsa) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Miercurea Ciuc moved-up to third place. Marmatiei lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with 14 games lost. Miercurea Ciuc will face league's second-placed Targu Jiu in Mures in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marmatiei will play at home against the league's leader Constanta and hope to win that game.
