The biggest surprise took place in Klosterneuburg where host Dukes (18-5) beat league's leader Gmunden Swans (17-6) 91-83 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 31-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Dukes shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Jurica Blazevic (199-94, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points. The former international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah, agency: 3Eye) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Four Dukes and five Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Dukes keep a position of league leader. Gmunden Swans at the other side dropped to the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Kapfenberg. They were replaced at the leadership position by Vienna. Gmunden Swans will play next round against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dukes will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked UBC St. Poelten in St.Poelten.
