Second Stage Round 10: Sf.Gheorghe - Satu Mare 73-58

An interesting game for Sf.Gheorghe (14-1) which hosted in Sfantu Gheorghe their biggest opponent Satu Mare (10-4). First ranked Sf.Gheorghe had an easy win 73-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Satu Mare. The game was mostly controlled by Sf.Gheorghe. Satu Mare managed to win second period 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sf.Gheorghe dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Satu Mare's 24. Sf.Gheorghe forced 20 Satu Mare turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-North Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: MTSU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: ASU) contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. The former international Andreea Hutanu (188-88) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Andreea Olah (181-86) added 9 points in the effort for Satu Mare. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sf.Gheorghe have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-1 record. Satu Mare at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost.
