Regular Season Round 23: Vilsbiburg - Bad Aibling 89-84

Date: March 8, 2020
Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Vilsbiburg (11-9) beat at home 12th ranked Bad Aibling (7-15) 89-84 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for American swingman Kendall Stafford (193-97, college: N.Alabama) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American guard Kenny Fluellen (191-90, college: Paine) helped adding 24 points and 8 rebounds. Fluellen is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Guard Simon Bradaric responded with 31 points and 4 assists and point guard Mario Hack-Vazquez (190-98) scored 22 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vilsbiburg. They moved-up to sixth place in South-East. Loser Bad Aibling keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Vilsbiburg will face Treuchtlingen (#9) in Treutchlingen in the next round. Bad Aibling will play at home against Rosenheim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
