There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Kaiserslautern (9-14) edged on the road higher ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (10-13) 79-76 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American swingman Aaron Reams (192-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. Hungarian guard Gergely Hosszu (190-86) helped adding 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) responded with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Bulgarian Filip Kamenov (200-95) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Kaiserslautern maintains twelfth place in South-West with 9-14 record. Loser Saarlouis/Dillingen dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Kaiserslautern will face higher ranked Stuttgart (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
