First ranked Sudhessen (11-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Young Tigers (9-4) 65-62 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Young Tigers. They outrebounded Young Tigers 43-22 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Leon Fertig (190-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Philip Hecker (190-2) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Matti Sorgius (196-1) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Mirjan Broening (183-1) added 18 points in the effort for Young Tigers. Newly promoted Sudhessen maintains first place with 11-2 record, which they share with Paderborn. Young Tigers at the other side keep the second position with four games lost.
