Regular Season Round 29: Trier - Nuernberg 89-75

Another interesting game for Gladiators (14-13) which hosted in Trier against 4th placed Nuernberg (16-12). Eighth ranked Gladiators had an easy win 89-75. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Gladiators forced 20 Nuernberg turnovers. Nuernberg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) stepped up and scored 18 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. Hungarian point guard Marcell Pongo (194-97, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American swingman Jackson Kent (196-93, college: JMU) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiators moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bayer Giants. Nuernberg at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. Gladiators will play against Rostock (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nuernberg will play against BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
