The game in Istanbul was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked TAC NEF (12-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Galatasaray (7-12). TAC NEF defeated Galatasaray 83-70 on Sunday. TAC NEF dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Galatasaray's 18. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Berkay Civgin (-1) who scored 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Sezgin Akcinli (-2) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Umut Sener (-2) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and Ahmet Yilmaz (-4) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Galatasaray's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TAC NEF have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 12-7 record. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Besiktas. TAC NEF will meet at home higher ranked Tofas (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Galatasaray's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
