Second Stage Round 9: Gelisim Koleji - Anadolu Efes 67-78

U19 League top team - Anadolu Efes (16-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Ozel Gelisim Koleji (6-13) in Izmir 78-67. Anadolu Efes brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Forward Eren Has (201-1) nailed 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and forward Goktug Bas (201-1) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Arda Gurtan (185-2) came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Akkan Atasoy (196-3) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ozel Gelisim Koleji in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes maintains first place with 16-3 record, which they share with Fenerbahce. Ozel Gelisim Koleji lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Anadolu Efes will play against Banvit (#5) in Bandirma in the next round. Ozel Gelisim Koleji will play on the road against Gaziantep (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
