Second Stage Round 9: Turk Telekom - TED Ankara 61-64

Eleventh-ranked Turk Telekom (5-14) gave a tough game to sixth ranked TED Ankara (11-8). The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for forward Eyup Oncu (203-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Alperen Ercan (191-1) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yigit Ozkan (191-1) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Turk Telekom's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TED Ankara have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bandirma. Turk Telekom lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. TED Ankara's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Besiktas (#8) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
