Regular Season Round 21: Tornado KM - Siauliu 91-71

Rather predictable result in Kaunas where fifth ranked Tornado KM (10-10) smashed 7th ranked Siauliu (7-10) 91-71. The game was mostly controlled by Tornado KM. Siauliu was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Tornado KM players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Siauliu's players. It was a good game for forward Domantas Butkys (195-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Laurynas Virbalas (179-2) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Tornado KM's coach Aivaras Grigaliunas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Martynas Cesnauskas (-2) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Lukas Uosis (188-2) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Siauliu. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tornado KM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-10 record. Siauliu at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Tornado KM's next round opponent will be Kretingos SM (#6) in Kretinga. Siauliu will play at home against Sostines and hope to win that game.
