A very interesting game took place in Istanbul. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Besiktas (7-13) to eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (6-14) 92-89 on Wednesday evening. Turk Telekom outrebounded Besiktas 52-39 including 39 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Guard Yigit Ozkan (191-1) notched 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) supported him with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points, 8 rebounds and 14 assists by Utku Yurttas (-2) did not help to save the game for Besiktas. Tolga Deliktas (-3) added 22 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Four Turk Telekom and five Besiktas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Gelisim Koleji. Besiktas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be Darussafaka (#11) in Istanbul.
