Everything could happen in Moletai at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Ezerunas and 12th ranked Jonava had identical 14-22 record. This time Ezerunas used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Jonava 76-71 on Thursday night. Strangely Jonava outrebounded Ezerunas 40-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Tauras Ulevicius (190-97) helped adding 10 points and 10 assists. Four Ezerunas players scored in double figures. American forward Kahlil Thomas (203-94, college: Rider) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Modestas Zaunieriunas (189-94) scored 21 points. Ezerunas (15-22) moved-up to twelfth place. Jonava lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. Ezerunas will face higher ranked Gargzdu (#9) in Gargzdai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jonava will play at home against Taurages (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
