Second Stage Round 11: Silales Lusis - Gargzdu 62-88

14th ranked Silales Lusis (10-27) was outscored at home by ninth ranked Gargzdu (19-19) with the biggest margin this round 88-62 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Silales Lusis. Gargzdu looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Ernestas Jonkus (187-99) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) helped adding 11 points and 14 rebounds. Five Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Gargzdu's coach Albertas Vilimas felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mindaugas Cepauskas (186-89) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Eimantas Zilius (200-99) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Gargzdu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vytis. Newly promoted Silales Lusis keeps the fourteenth position with 27 games lost. Gargzdu will face Ezerunas (#12) in Moletai in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Silales Lusis will play on the road against Ereliai Mazeikiai and hope to win that game.
