Regular Season Round 21: Cankaya - Botas 86-60

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Cankaya (12-6) crushed 12th ranked Botas (5-15) in Ankara 86-60. They outrebounded Botas 41-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cankaya players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Avery Warley-Talbert (190-87, college: Liberty) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Her fellow American import point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 27 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) who recorded 11 points and 5 rebounds and Hatice Gulcelik (178-2) added 14 points respectively. Four Botas players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Cankaya maintains fourth place with 12-6 record. Botas at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Cankaya's next round opponent will be Cukurova (#11) in Mersin and are hoping to win another game.
