The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Socar Petkim as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Socar Petkim defeated 15th ranked Samsun at home 82-67. Socar Petkim looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Ali Isik (206-90) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Hakan Yapar (202-84) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Socar Petkim's coach Arda Vekiloglu used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was North Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Cagdas Erdogan (188-88) added 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Five Socar Petkim and four Samsun players scored in double figures. Socar Petkim have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Fethiye. Newly promoted Samsun dropped to the bottom place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Ankara B.. Samsun will play next round against Konyaspor trying to get back on the winning streak. Socar Petkim will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Duzce Belediye on the road.
