BBL top team - ratiopharm Ulm (3-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Crailsheim Merlins (0-3) 92-80. Crailsheim Merlins were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. ratiopharm Ulm made 27-of-35 charity shots (77.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Crailsheim Merlins turnovers. ratiopharm Ulm players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Crailsheim Merlins were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Derek Willis (206-95, college: Kentucky) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Tyler Harvey (194-93, college: EWU) accounted for 14 points and 6 assists. ratiopharm Ulm's coach Jaka Lakovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Chilean Sebastian Herrera (193-97) came up with 16 points and 9 assists and Fabian Bleck (200-93) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Crailsheim Merlins in the defeat. Five ratiopharm Ulm and four Crailsheim Merlins players scored in double figures. ratiopharm Ulm have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record. Crailsheim Merlins at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
