Second Stage Round 8: Brose Bask. - Fraport SKY 99-83

The most important game in the last round took place between third ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (1-3) and fourth ranked Brose Baskets (1-2) on Saturday night. Deutsche Bank Skyliners were defeated by Brose Baskets on the road 99-83. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. Deutsche Bank Skyliners managed to win third quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brose Baskets made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tre McLean (196-93, college: Chattanooga) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Kameron Taylor (198-94, college: Seton Hill) who added 13 points during the contest. Five Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard Joe Rahon (188-93, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 9 points and 9 assists and Lithuanian power forward Gytis Masiulis (206-98) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Brose Baskets left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Goettingen. Deutsche Bank Skyliners at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
