An interesting game for Rocks which hosted in Mattersburg Deutsch-Wagram. Rocks managed to get a 5-point victory 92-87. Deutsch-Wagram trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 29-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 87-92 at the end of the game. Rocks forced 25 Deutsch-Wagram turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Deutsch-Wagram was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Italian guard Jan Nicoli (182-90) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!). American center Gary Ware (205-83, college: Purdue, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Rocks players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Nikola Letic (185-0) answered with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Simon Marek (152-1) added 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Deutsch-Wagram. Deutsch-Wagram's coach Lukas Hofer tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rocks will have a break next round. Deutsch-Wagram will play at home against Worthersee Piraten and hope to win that game.
