But BSV Wulfen was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Leverkusen 77-63. Leverkusen 2 outrebounded BSV Wulfen 49-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Daniel Merkens (184-96) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Nicolas Funk (183-1) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Leverkusen 2 players scored in double figures. American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) produced 18 points and Nils Peters (198-0) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leverkusen 2's next round opponent will be Deutzer on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. BSV Wulfen will play against Dragons Rhoendorf and hope to win that game.
