The game in Bursa was also quite interesting. Besiktas played at the court of Bursaspor. Bursaspor defeated Besiktas 89-73 on Saturday. Bursaspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Xavier Munford (188-92, college: URI) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Malik Newman (190-97, college: Kansas) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bursaspor players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and international Sehmus Hazer (190-99) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bursaspor will meet Fethiye on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Fenerbahce.
