Regular Season Round 1: Pinar Karsiyaka - Fethiye 92-55

We should mention about the upset which took place in Karsiyaka, where Fethiye was outleveled in a road game by Pinar Karsiyaka 92-55 on Sunday. Pinar Karsiyaka dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Fethiye's 14. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International forward Metecan Birsen (208-95) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Pinar Karsiyaka's coach Ufuk Sarica felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Tufan Onen (202-89) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Pinar Karsiyaka will face Gaziantep on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fethiye will play against Bursaspor and hope to win that game.
