Regular Season Round 2: Tofas - Buyukcekmece 94-85

There was a surprise result when Tofas won against Buyukcekmece in Bursa 94-85 on Saturday. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Buyukcekmece's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Buyukcekmece's players. American guard Sean Kilpatrick (193-90, college: Cincinnati) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import center Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Buyukcekmece. Four Tofas and five Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Tofas will face Afyon Bld in Afyonkarahisar in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
