An interesting game was also tough home loss of Gmunden Swans in a game versus undefeated Dukes 75-68. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-68. Dukes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Bosnian center Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: BeoBasket) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks for the winning side and the former international guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) accounted for 7 points and 7 assists. Dukes' coach Damir Zeleznik used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Toni Blazan (197-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Gmunden Swans in the defeat. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Dukes will meet at home UBC St. Poelten in the next round. Gmunden Swans will play against Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
