Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Despite it looked like an easy game for Fenerbahce, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. How else can you describe just 3 points victory of Fenerbahce 64-61. Fenerbahce outrebounded Galatasaray 37-20 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of German forward Satou Sabally (193-98, college: Oregon, agency: Wasserman) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Tugce Canitez (187-90, college: Westmont) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Courtney Williams (173-94, college: S.Florida) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import swingman Bella Alarie (193-98, college: Princeton) added 12 points in the effort for Galatasaray. Fenerbahce's next round opponent will be Adana Basket on the road and are hoping to win another game. Galatasaray will play against Ormanspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
