Quite upsetting was Kayseri's home defeat in a game versus Izmit who edged hosts 69-68. Kayseri was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Izmit forced 19 Kayseri turnovers and had a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Brazilian center Clarissa Dos-Santos (188-88) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian center Egle Siksniute (198-91) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Izmit players scored in double figures. International Melis Gulcan (186-96) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Tyasha Harris (178-98, college: S.Carolina) added 21 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Izmit will meet at home Elazig in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kayseri will play against Hatay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
