Regular Season Round 2: Zlatorog - Rogaska 85-86

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Zlatorog in Lasko. Hosts were edged by Rogaska 86-85. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zlatorog won fourth quarter 32-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rogaska made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Zlatorog turnovers. Strangely Zlatorog outrebounded Rogaska 39-23 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zlatorog was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard David Nichols (183-96, college: FSU, agency: GoEmpire Group) saved the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import swingman Malcolm Bernard (198-94, college: Xavier) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Point guard Klemen Pozin (180-95) replied with 30 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Casey Benson (190-95, college: GCU) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Zlatorog. Four Zlatorog players scored in double figures. Rogaska will play against Helios Suns in Domzale in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zlatorog will play on the road against Sentjur to get more than just one victory in their record.
