Regular Season Round 2: Randers - BAC 99-92

Very important is a road loss of BAC against Randers on Tuesday night. Visiting BAC was defeated by Randers in a tough game in Randers 92-99. BAC was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Randers forced 22 BAC turnovers. Strangely BAC outrebounded Randers 34-20 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Tyre Gathright (193-96, college: St.Augustine) scored 30 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Chris Nielsen (193-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Gathright is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Randers players scored in double figures. Randers' coach Char Burgess allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: MSSU) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Marius Kirkholt (183-97) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Randers will play against Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BAC will play on the road against Amager in Kastrup and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
