Regular Season Round 2: Vaerlose - Bakken 74-106

The game in Vaerlose supposed to be also quite interesting. Bakken played at the court of Vaerlose. Bakken smashed Vaerlose 106-74 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Vaerlose only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Vaerlose 50-32 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard QJ Peterson (183-94, college: VMI) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Martin Poulsen (195-98, college: Mt.St.Mary's) replied with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international Mathias Christensen (202-95) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Vaerlose. Four Bakken and five Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Susie Heede-Andersen gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bakken will face Randers on the road in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Horsens IC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
