Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Aschersleben (1-1) was outplayed at home by top-ranked Wolmirstedt (3-0) 86-56 on Saturday. Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) fired 20 points for the winners. Forward Maximilian Rockmann (198-88, college: UMKC) chipped in 13 points. Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) produced 17 points and naturalized Congolese forward Blanchard Obiango (202-88) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolmirstedt have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Langenhagen. Loser Aschersleben dropped to the ninth place with one game lost. Wolmirstedt will face Bramsche (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aschersleben will play against Cuxhaven and hope to win that game.
