We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Wolfenbuettel (1-2) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Bramsche (2-2) 93-89 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bramsche made 9 blocks. Latvian power forward Roberts Dembskis (205-98) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points, 19 rebounds and 7 blocks for the winners. American swingman Quin Cooper (197-91, college: CRC, agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). American point guard Keith Hayes-II (178, college: William Jewell) produced 41 points (!!!) (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Elias Gueldenhaupt (191-95) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bramsche moved-up to eighth place in North. Newly promoted Wolfenbuettel dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. Bramsche will face league's second-placed Wolmirstedt on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Wolfenbuettel will play against the league's leader Langenhagen (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
