Regular Season Round 2: Rivne - Khimik-2 66-52

Everything went according to plan when Rivne beat at home Khimik-2 66-52 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Rivne's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-10 extending their advantage to 14 points. The best player for the winners was point guard Taras Shaniuk (179-92) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Yevgen Koroviyakov (197-88) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Rivne's coach Mikhail Pereverziy used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Dmytro Kleban (204-0) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ruslan Shorstkiy (183-3) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Rivne will meet Hoverla in the next round where they are favorite. Khimik-2 will have a break next round.
