The biggest surprise took place in Naestved where host Naestved (3-1) beat league's leader Horsens IC (3-1) 80-76 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Horsens IC. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Horsens IC was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Naestved, which allowed them to win the game. International forward Philip Hertz (195-92, college: Rio Grande) fired 21 points for the winners. American center Jarel Spellman (208-96, college: Sacred Heart, agency: Players Group) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Ugandan-American Deng Geu (203-97, college: N.Texas) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard David Efianayi (188-95, college: Gardner-Webb) added 18 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Naestved moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Horsens IC. Horsens IC will play next round against strong Svendborg trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
