Regular Season Round 4: Amager - Bakken 59-128
Date: October 16, 2020
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Amager (0-4) against fifth ranked Bakken (3-1) on Friday night. Host Amager was crushed by Bakken in Kastrup 128-59. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 26 Amager turnovers and outrebounded them 50-36 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bakken shot the lights out from three sinking 26 long-distance shots on high 51.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Amager's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: EKU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Erik McCree (203-93, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Oscar Quackenbush (187-99) responded with 16 points and forward Magnus Bjornaa (194-96, college: Potomac St.) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Amager still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Copenhagen. Bakken will meet at home league's second-placed Naestved in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amager will play against the league's leader Randers and hopes to get finally their first victory.
