Regular Season Round 3: Gmunden - Kapfenberg 90-72

Kapfenberg Bulls (1-1) recorded a loss on the court of Gmunden Swans on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Gmunden Swans 90-72. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.4 percent from the field. Gmunden Swans looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Finnish center Daniel Dolenc (205-93, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Alex Herrera (206-92, college: Fort Lewis) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans are looking forward to face Timberwolves (#9) in Vienna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kapfenberg Bulls will play at home against UBC St. Poelten (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
