Regular Season Round 4: Tofas - Pinar Karsiyaka 78-88

The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Pinar Karsiyaka's (3-1) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Tofas (2-2) 88-78 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tofas. Pinar Karsiyaka made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Tofas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Tony Taylor (184-90, college: GWU) chipped in 17 points and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) produced 19 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Sean Kilpatrick (193-90, college: Cincinnati) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pinar Karsiyaka moved-up to third place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Tofas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Pinar Karsiyaka is looking forward to face Dacka (#12) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tofas' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bursa to the arena Bursaspor.
