Regular Season Round 4: Fethiye - Galatasaray 91-82
Date: October 17, 2020
Fethiye can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Galatasaray (2-2) 91-82. Fethiye players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and Nigerian center Abdul-Malik Abu (203-95, college: NC State) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 18 points and 5 assists by American guard Alex Hamilton (193-93, college: Louisiana Tech) did not help to save the game for Galatasaray. His fellow American import power forward Johnathan Williams-III (206-95, college: Gonzaga, agency: Wasserman) added 11 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Five Fethiye and four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Galatasaray's coach Ertugrul Erdogan rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fethiye (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Galatasaray at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Fethiye's next round opponent will be OGM Orman (#14) in Ankara. Galatasaray will play at home against Gaziantep (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
