And finally the game worth to mention about is undefeated Elchingen's relatively easy victory against winless Ludwigsburg 99-83. It was a key game for the top position in South-West South. Elchingen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ludwigsburg's 28 and made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. Elchingen forced 24 Ludwigsburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Ludwigsburg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Yassin Mahfouz (194-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Malik Constantine (198-97, college: Catawba) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. Point guard Johannes Patrick (185-1) answered with 24 points and Dejan Bruce (205-2) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ludwigsburg. Ludwigsburg's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Elchingen (1-0) keeps a position of South-West South leader, which they share with Crailsheim 2. Newly promoted Ludwigsburg still closes the standings with one game lost. Elchingen will face Tuebingen 2 (#5) at home in the next round. Ludwigsburg will play against the league's leader Crailsheim 2 and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
