Regular Season Round 1: Galomar - Vasco 97-75

An interesting game for Galomar which hosted in Vasco. Galomar had an easy win 97-75. Galomar forced 22 Vasco turnovers and outrebounded them 46-20 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Vasco was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American center Trevor English (203-97, college: Mansfield, PA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) contributed with 32 points and 7 assists for the winners. English is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Paulo Vieira (192-94) answered with 25 points and Ruben Nobre (192-0) added 10 points in the effort for Vasco. Vasco's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Galomar will face Sangalhos on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vasco will play against Illiabum and hope to win that game.
