Kyiv Basket (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat Mykolaiv (0-2) 88-72. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kyiv Basket's pressure prevailed and they won that period 31-21 extending their advantage to 16 points. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a quality performance for international swingman Bogdan Bliznyuk (198-95, college: EWU) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Kyiv Basket's coach Ainars Bagatskis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists and Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mykolaiv in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyiv Basket will play against K.Sokoly (#5) in Kharkiv in the next round. Mykolaiv will play at home against Prometey and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
