The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Vilniaus univ. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Vilniaus univ. defeated bottom-ranked VK-Kamane at home 64-46. Vilniaus univ. held VK-Kamane to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded VK-Kamane 64-37 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vilniaus univ. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Aurelija Putramentaite (180-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Austeja Sirsinaityte (166-95) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Vilniaus univ.'s coach Loreta Berukstiene used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Olga Fomina (164-89) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Brigita Kleponyte (178-99) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for VK-Kamane. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Aistes-LSMU and Kibirkstis. VK-Kamane at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Kibirkstis-VKM. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
