Regular Season Round 4: Mykolaiv - Prometey 89-112

Bottom-ranked Mykolaiv (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 112-89 loss to sixth ranked Prometey (3-1) in Mykolaiv. Mykolaiv was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 60-35 second half run of Prometey. The winners were led by American guard Marcquise Reed (190-95, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman DJ Stephens (195-90, college: Memphis) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Coach Vitaliy Cherniy's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points by Canadian-Nigerian guard Keith Omoerah (194-92, college: Manitoba) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (201-82, college: Binghamton) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Five Prometey and four Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. Prometey have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Mykolaiv at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Prometey will have a break next round. Mykolaiv will play at home against the league's second-placed Zaporizhye (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
