An interesting game took place in Konya where Konyaspor was upset on its own court by Duzce Belediye 92-72 on Saturday. Duzce Belediye looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-94, college: UNC) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Duzce Belediye players scored in double figures. Guard Ogulcan Baykan (196-96) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-97) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Konyaspor's coach Cengiz Karadag let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Duzce Belediye will face Manisa at home in the next round where they are favorite. Konyaspor will play against Mamak in Ankara and hope to win that game.
