Bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram (0-3) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to eighth ranked BBU (2-2) 67-61 on Monday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Deutsch-Wagram won fourth quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BBU forced 19 Deutsch-Wagram turnovers. Strangely Deutsch-Wagram outrebounded BBU 42-25 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Spanish guard Jesus Diaz (188-88) chipped in 13 points. Serbian guard Nikola Letic (185-0) produced 22 points and center Lorenz Rattey (207-92) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. BBU moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Piraten. Loser Deutsch-Wagram still closes the standings with three games lost. BBU will meet at home Flames (#7) in the next round. Deutsch-Wagram will play against the league's leader Blackbirds (#1) in Jennersdorf and hopes to get finally their first victory.
