Regular Season Round 6: Wolfpack - Svendborg 70-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Wolfpack (3-2) in Herlev on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Svendborg (5-1) 82-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wolfpack. Wolfpack was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Svendborg forced 19 Wolfpack turnovers and outrebounded them 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Brandon Tabb (193-95, college: BCU) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Sebastian Petersen (188-95) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Tabb is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Svendborg's coach Jimmy Moore used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard August Haas (188-97, college: St.Edward's) with 22 points and 7 assists and American guard Dee Franklin (196-92, college: FVSU) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Svendborg keeps a position of league leader which they share with defeated Wolfpack. Wolfpack at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Naestved and Horsens IC. Svendborg are looking forward to face BAC (#3) in Aarhus in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wolfpack will play on the road against Bakken in Aarhus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
