Regular Season Round 7: Vilsbiburg - Unterhaching 100-74

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Unterhaching (0-1) on the court of leader Vilsbiburg. Visitors were rolled over by Vilsbiburg 100-74. It was a key game for the top position in South-East South. Vilsbiburg outrebounded Unterhaching 45-30 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American-New Zealand power forward Shane Temara (205-95, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Eduard Hoffmann (188-97) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Constantin Schmitt (200-97) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Maximilian Lingel added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Unterhaching. Vilsbiburg (1-0) keeps a position of South-East South leader, which they share with Schwabing. Newly promoted Unterhaching still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Bayern 3. Vilsbiburg will play against Treuchtlingen (#6) in Treutchlingen in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
